Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) – Beastie Boys are back with with their first non-instrumental album in seven years. “Hot Sauce Committee Part 2″ hits stores on May 3rd.

You’re probably wondering how you missed “Hot Sauce Committee Part 1.” Well, that’s because it hasn’t been released. The instrumental set, a follow-up to 2007′s “The Mix-Up,” was initially set for last October but was bumped from the schedule.

The album was reportedly pushed back to due to Adam “MCA” Yauch’s battle with cancer. He’s received treatment for a cancerous tumor in his salivary gland and is currently cancer-free.

“Hot Sauce Committee Part 2″ is being released in its place. It’s their first non-instrumental album since 2004′s “To the 5 Boroughs,” which yielded the #1 rock single “Ch-Check It Out.”

“Since the dawn of time, and perhaps even before, there was a silent order who were tasked with a mission,” the Beastie Boys’ website reads. “They held their secret tightly. On May 3rd the ‘Hot Sauce Committee Part Two’ will be unleashed on the general public. Hold fast ye heathens.”
