Vienna, Austria (4E) – Romanian pianist Mihaela Ursuleasa, 33, was found lifeless in her own apartment in Vienna on Thursday, her agent confirmed.

Andrea Butucariu, Ursuleasa’s agent, said in the official statement that the pianist’s cause of death was caused by a cerebral commotion. He also added, “Please consider this statement as the only official and accurate one and please be considerate towards her family and friends.”

Part of the statement, which is found on the pianist’s official website read, “Artists like Mihaela are those who give us hope, help us feel and make us understand that music, and also art, prevails above everything else; that it makes us advance as human beings. They make us realize that we are on the right path when we open not our eyes and ears but our hearts to listen, expecting music making to move us and take us some place else. This is what Mihaela’s music did.”

Ursuleasa was born of a gypsy fiddler and was raised in Vienna. Since her childhood she was interested in classical music. Her agent described music as the driving force that Ursuleasa has “come and lived for.”

Ursuleasa’s age upon her death, 33, is considered to be a magical number. She is survived by a seven-year-old daughter.
