Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj in serious competition in American Idol

New York, NY, United States (4E) – With the first day of auditions over, are Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj in serious competition in American Idol as well?

It was reported that the two divas don’t get along well by butting in while the other is speaking. Carey and Minaj were said to have interrupted each other many times during the critiquing part of the auditions.

A source told TMZ, “These girls just don’t like each other.”

According to the Daily Mail, another conflict could spring from who gets more attention.

During yesterday’s auditions, Carey, 42, arrived wearing a black coat over a short black dress she paired with black peep-toe heels, while Minaj, 29, arrived wearing light blue fitted jeans, laced up turquoise platform boots, white ruffled blazer and pink-and-yellow hair—aside from her usual heavy makeup, of course.

Who gets the attention? You judge. However, their judging style has yet to be seen by the public as AI season 12 is set to premiere on January 2013.
