After a while, the band announced, “We’re off to Primavera next summer, Barcelona and Oporto here we come. More as we know it…”
Bassist Alex James told the BBC just before their Hyde Park gig, “We may never have done anything again if it hadn’t have been for the trigger of being asked to do this show. We felt it was something we couldn’t turn down.”
Blur started in 1988 and continued to play until 2003, releasing seven albums. They briefly reunited in 2009 for several concerts and releases. They also received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2012.
