Lindsay Lohan to sit down for one-on-one interview with Barbara Walters

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Lindsay Lohan, adding to her string of comeback gigs, will be sitting on an hour-long one-on-one exclusive, tell-all interview with the one and only Barbara Walters.

Sources say that Walters and Lohan have been close for years, and that Walters reached out to the 26-year-old actress to do an interview upon learning she will be playing the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming biopic “Liz & Dick.”

During the summer, Walters visited Lohan while filming and the actress gave the legendary journalist a tour of the set while ABC filmed behind-the-scenes footage.

A source close to Lohan told Access Hollywood that the actress agreed to the interview because she “trusts Barbara.” The source further said, “[Lindsay] has a lot of respect and admiration for her, and knows the interview will be done accurately and fairly.”

According to TMZ, the interview will focus on the similarities of Lohan’s life with the late Elizabeth Taylor’s.

There is no word yet on when the interview, which will include footage from Walters’ on set visit, will air.
