Actor John Clive passes away at 79

London, United Kingdom (4E) – John Clive, the actor who provided the voice of John Lennon’s character in “Yellow Submarine,” has passed away at the age of 79, his family said Monday.

According to his family, Clive died Sunday following a short illness.

Aside from appearing in a number of notable films like “Clockwork Orange” and “Pink Panther,” Clive was an international bestselling author for his books “KG200,” “Broken Wings,” “Barossa” and “The Last Liberator,” among others.

One of his most memorable acting roles was in the film “Italian Job” alongside Michael Caine, where it was said that the two ad-libbed most of their lines.

Clive is survived by his second wife Bryony, his two children from his first marriage, Alex and Hannah, and stepson Deane.
