Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Rocker Courtney Love is planning a film about her late husband, Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain.

The news was revealed by Sam Lufti, while he was in a Los Angeles court Wednesday for a trial regarding a lawsuit he filed against former client Britney Spears for libel and breach of contract.

Lufti, who claims to have been hired by Love as her manager years back, said, “[Courtney Love and I] are currently working on a possible motion picture or Broadway musical based on the Nirvana catalogue, based on her life and Kurt Cobain’s. She’s an accomplished actress.”

Meanwhile, a source close to Love told the New York Daily News, “She’s been talking about doing a movie or play about her life with Kurt for a long time.”

“‘It’s been her dream to get her side of the story out.” the source continued. However, the source also said that “‘So far, nothing has materialized” and that Love has “never made any serious actions to do it.”

Courtney Love, now 48, was married to Cobain from 1992 until he died by committing suicide in 1994. They have a child together, Frances Bean, 19, whose life path also seems to be geared towards rock music.

Previous films inspired by Kurt Cobain’s life and death are “Last Days” by Gus van Sant, which tells about what might have happened to the rocker just before he died, and the documentary “Kurt and Courtney” by Nick Broomfield, which entertained the idea that foul play was the reason behind Cobain’s demise.
