Get Paid To Shop Online? – Yes, Really.

    ma

Online shopping just became a whole lot easier while adding cashback saving incentives for you, the online shopper.

Let’s face it, online shopping is on the rise (expected to increase rapidly within a relatively small window of time), is fast and time efficient, and potentially can save your hard earned cash.  How?  Well, there are two ways.

First – you don’t have to drive.  By eliminating this step, you avoid the rising gas prices and save yourself a boat load on travel time.

    Second – Shop.com - Market America (https://www.shop.com/cycloid/nbts/hello-myaccount+260.xhtml)

Market America & Shop.com offer an array of possibilities for the online shopper.  One being cashback incentives.  Cashback incentives are paid (in varying percentages – depending on product) for/on any/all purchases made through the site – no matter what store you shop at.  Whether you’re a every-now-and-then-online shopper looking, occasionally, for a few things or, if you’re an avid online shopper looking to buy most things needed around the house on a regular basis; you’ll earn cashback on it all.

In a sense, it’s like getting paid to make the purchases that you already regularly (for some – not so regularly) cycle.

    Product

Aside from the top-notch, high-end Market America products that Shop.com has to offer, there are over 3,000 affiliated stores (all of the big names and then some) all at your finger tips.  If it exists. you’ll find it.

What’s even better is the fact that all of it can be shipped directly to your doorstep – hence, saving you much needed time to do other things.

So, you save money; don’t have to travel far and beyond; receive high-end products and it all arrives within days.  What’s not to like about it?

Simply go here > https://www.shop.com/cycloid/nbts/hello-myaccount+260.xhtml, register (for free), check out the site and shop to your heart’s content.

QR Codes, Mobile Payments Especially Popular for Food Businesses

    qr payments

Is paper cash becoming a collector’s item like the Buffalo nickel?

It would seem that way, considering the increase in the number of plastic-only food establishments. A number of restaurants and food trucks make paying with the swipe of a card on a smartphone as easy as foodtruck mini-pies. The latest, and seemingly most convenient, mobile payment option is paying via a QR code.

In San Francisco’s Metreon, a gourmet sandwich shop called Split Bread is the latest eatery to offer such service. Each tabletop has a metal stripe with a QR code printed on it. Patrons sit down and scan the QR code with their smartphones to pull-up the digital menu. Customers place their order without ever speaking to a real person. When their order is ready, they pick it up at the counter.

You can also order ahead and grab sandwiches to-go, entering your expected pick-up time online. But one thing you can’t do is pay with cash. The manager of Split Bread told me that about 30% of their customers order and pay through the QR codes on the tables. Eventually, they hope to get that number to 100%. But, he said, they might keep a register to two in order to keep the not-so- QR-savvy customers coming back.

David Silverglide, one of the founders of Split Bread, said they wanted to provide a payment option that was seamless for customers, device agnostic and wouldn’t force customers to download an app.

Ordering using the QR codes on the table isn’t necessarily more time efficient, at least for now — but it is cool. Eventually, Silverglide said it will save time and allow groups of people to avoid lines and the hassle of splitting bills. In the future, you’ll be able to sit at a table and have a tab open.

“We want to make sure as the payment space evolves, that we can adapt quickly,” he said.

The Melt, a gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich shop that has been popping up with new locations all over San Francisco since its opening in September, began accepting QR code payments about a month after its opening. QR codes let consumers bypass the lines, plus for customers, it can be a fun way to use your smartphone.

“Melt.com online orders are running between 5-10% of all transactions depending on store location,” Paul Coletta, CMO at The Melt states.  Patrons can skip the line and redeem the QR code anytime.

Eateries that eschew cash are common in San Francisco, and food trucks that use mobile payment services such as Google Wallet, PayPal Here or Square to process payments are common place.

But using plastic for every purchase — plus apps that remember your banking information — concerns many customers. After all, information hacks have occurred in the past due to weak security in certain mobile payment systems.

Standing in a food truck line in San Francisco (the food truck used Square), I chatted with a customer who expressed his concern about mobile payments.

“If the guy loses his phone, what happens to that information?” he said. Like many of his friends, he said, he’s concerned about mobile security but it’s just the way mobile payments are headed. Plus, he added, it is convenient.

    August Breeds Blackkkk Friday

    blackened

Yep.  That’s right.  Black Friday – and it’s not even November yet…

I, as your editor of said artistically expressive site, have declared today (8-24-12) an official blackout day.  Why?  Because I said so…

NO.  In all reality, I’m searching, I’m seeking, I’m waiting – for an answer, comment, or sign of pure red blood life (other than cattle) to show hope in this site as an artistic medium/outlet/venting stradegy…

I need you – the people – to restore faith in me.  To reinvigorate me as your chief artistic advisor would be a damn-near God-send right about now….

Problem = “I hop on the814times.com all of the time; I just forget to ever comment on anything what-so-ever….”

Solution = Read articles.  Decide on what strikes thy fancy.  Cast thy opinions upon said article content in which struck thy fancy.  Wait for clever, wit-riddled reply from editor (rumored guy that “takes care of” said website). All enjoy the shared knowledge that someone reached someone upon an artistic and open level…

Seriously, it’s been long over-due.  Comment.  Speak your mind.  Say something.  We’re waiting to hear from you….

Yes indeed, it’s that time of year again – fair season.  Late July finds much of the area in full fair-time swing, and for Clearfield County, it’s become common knowledge that it’s a major draw.

The Clearfield County Fair is a main attraction in which many look forward to all year long.  Baryard animals, huge music acts, art of all shapes and sizes, truck pulls, midway screams and deep fried everything (amongst many other featured items/food/animals/entertaining events) – the things dreams are made of.  At least for fair lovers county wide that is…

Running with our theme of keeping all informed on any/all arts and entertainment related events, I thought it might be a wise choice to share with all near and far the 2012 Clearfield County Fair event schedule.  So, without further ado, here’s the list of events to attend….
